An updated version of the 'For Bowling' shirt I made for the November 21 Pop Up. Based on the second Poet I ever made myself, worn repeatedly each summer.
Half length sleeve, straight hem with a split at the side. Length from top of shoulder to hem is 56cm.

Umi is 165cm tall, generally wears size 8-10. Here, she is wearing a size A in Navy / White Stripe Seersucker. The Poet is oversized in nature, these shirts will fit a range of bodies, shapes and sizes.

Length U: 58cm. Measured from centre front neck to hem.
Sleeve Length U:44cm. Raglan measured from side neck to sleeve hem.

The Poet is an oversized shirt with a raglan sleeve at front, leading to a yoke at the back; details that are apparent in multiple HB Archive pieces.
Featuring loop and button closure, and wide facings.
Buttons are covered in same fabric as shirt.

After three years of sampling, fitting on multiple body’s, and thinking, the photographed edition is remarkably similar to it’s original.Originally named the O.S Shirt (Over Sized), sometimes just referred to as ‘The Shirt’ with friends, I finally landed on the ‘Poet’ while listening to Patti Smith read Just Kids as I sewed. It feels right to name it after her, I think it’s something she would like.
